Submission guidelines for the template library
Thanks for wanting to share your designs with the margheritaAI community! For a template to be accepted into our public library, it should meet a few simple rules. Here is what we look for.
It has to be about hospitality
margheritaAI is the design tool for the hospitality trade. Your template must have a clear gastro context — usable for restaurants, cafés, bars, delivery services, food trucks and similar businesses. Menus, flyers, posters, vouchers, table tents or social-media posts are exactly right.
Images and rights
The easiest route is to use images, graphics and icons from our in-house library. Then the rights question is settled from the start and your template can be accepted right away.
If you want to upload your own images, this applies: you must own all rights to them, and you assign those rights to us without restriction. This is necessary because we make your template — and the images in it — available to all users under our licence and add them to our central library. Only with a full, perpetual and transferable assignment of rights may we do this on a legally sound basis. Images you do not fully own must not be part of a submission.
Allowed: placeholder text and example content
A template thrives on being easy for others to adapt. That is why placeholder text (for example “Lorem ipsum” or “Your dish here”), example prices and made-up pseudo logos are explicitly allowed and even welcome. Prefer generic placeholders over the real details of a specific venue — so anyone can make the template their own straight away.
What is not allowed
- Content that breaks applicable law.
- Third-party protected trademarks, real company logos, crests or league branding.
- Photos or graphics by others that you do not fully own the rights to.
- Faces of real people without their consent.
- Offensive, insulting, discriminatory or misleading content.
- Mere copies of existing templates — your submission should be original.
Credit and Featured Designer
As soon as a design is accepted, it goes into the library with your name on it (“Design by you”). Once you have set a public designer handle, your name appears on each of your templates.
After three accepted designs you automatically become a Featured Designer. That unlocks your public profile with a bio and backlinks to your own channels (for example Instagram, Etsy or your website) and highlights you in the library.
No entitlement
Submitting does not create any entitlement — neither to acceptance, to payment, to Featured-Designer status, nor to a design staying in the library permanently. We decide on acceptance and highlighting at our own discretion and may remove templates at any time. A licence or assignment of rights once granted remains unaffected by this.
How the review works
You submit a design from the editor and actively confirm that you hold the rights. We freeze a snapshot — you can keep editing your original. Our team reviews the submission and either accepts it or rejects it with a reason. As long as a submission has not been reviewed yet, you can withdraw it.
Thank you for helping shape margheritaAI — we look forward to your design!
